Turkey and Thresholds

I hate doors.  It’s not a small hate, it’s a hate with capital letters: HATE.

I mean, whose the first guy to think: “Hey, lets take a huge piece of wood and hang it over this opening by it’s side!”

Well, let me pass on this word of wisdom: doors are never, ever square!!!!!!

They ALWAYS hang at an angle.  Period.

And it you try to install a threshold to keep out the bugs, mice and Jack Frost – you will spend most of your turkey break fighting concrete, wood, glass, metal, gravity and door locks.

Sigh.

Doors, Plumbing, Electricity – Call Dad

My first suggestion is to start with the door jam.

My 2nd suggestion is to call your Dad! He’s done just about everything…… and is always happy to help – even if it’s over the phone.

    *smile* Good suggestions.

I finally got the door to work – one jig saw blade, one door lock, and three hours later. =/

Not to mention the wood putty, reciprocating saw, hammer, crowbar, and concrete drill…
